Residents in Humboldt epitomize the spirit of “The Volunteer State” through time and services they give to the Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Tennessee. USDA Rural Development (RD) on Monday announced federal funding to help finish the job. Library Friends book sale
Friends of the Library have a continuing book sale with different genres each month. Check out the shelves in the hall for sale books. There is something different each time. It’s a mystery what will appear on the shelves priced low.
Telephone Pioneers to meet
The Gibson County Life Member Club of the ATT Telephone Pioneers will meet Thursday, June 13, at 11:30 a.m. at Kappis restaurant on the Hwy. 45 By-Pass for a Dutch treat lunch. Miss Firecracker
The 3rd Annual Miss Firecracker Pageant will be held Saturday, June 29, at Trenton Peabody High School Theater. Proceeds for the Find A Cure Award will be donated to  Relay for Life. The Humboldt Library, on June 13,  at  1:30 p.m. will feature a program on electrical safety  for all ages. On July 16,   at 1 p.m. the program will be  card making with Linda Mewbourn of Humboldt.
